Oli's Summer Picks

Oli's Summer Picks

I don't know what spring is playing at right now but I've had quite enough of it. It would have been nice to have found a sunny spring weekend to have selected my favourites from the spring collection, but with fashion timings as they are, I'm now looking at my Summer 24 clothing on the shelves with temperatures barely over 10 degrees. What can you do? At least the summer garments get you thinking about warmer times to come, and of course, the holidays. I've tried to come at this collection with a really textural approach, which it why I've used a lot of linen throughout. It has a lightweight feel, nice handle, and gives the colour a slubby finish, which is perfect for dressing down tailoring. Speaking of which, this is one of our most extensive and eclectic tailoring collections that I can remember. I strongly feel like the modern suit is having a personality correction - it's way more casual these days, feeling more like something you can throw on with a polo shirt and sneakers just as easily as donning a shirt and tie.

Anyway, enough babbling from me. Here's what I've snaffled from the summer collection this season. I've gone with a fairly understated colour palette, with plenty of light tones because they're a doddle to style, as well as throwing in some navy pieces because they're like the glue that sticks my wardrobe together. Stripes are by far my favourite pattern as they're a really easy way to introduce colour and help to break up your look. Add in some super soft jersey tops and a couple of different trouser options and you can make endless configurations from this selection. Hope you enjoy.

Oli.
