As we leave the desk for lunch or go for a run by the canal, we are starting to feel excited as we go by regular spots preparing to reopen. There is plenty to look forward to this summer, but we have not forgotten about the wardrobe heroes that have seen us through. So much so that we were keen to release a new collection dedicated to loungewear.
Here at Oliver Spencer, we value what we wear at home. Think of our loungewear as a bridge between a slow morning spent snoozing the alarm and a trip to grab a takeaway coffee and the Saturday papers. Take our Supima cotton Comfort t-shirt for example: paired with Milner Joggers or House Jersey Shorts, both are the right level of presentable, while also keeping one eye on the sofa for when you return.
While many of us will be excited about reunions with friends and family (don’t forget Father’s Day coming up on the 20th June), if you find yourself at home – whether that’s an extended morning or a “no plans” kind of evening – our matching pyjama sets feel refined enough with minimal effort. If you are feeling daring, at first (and maybe even second and third) glance from your neighbours, they could easily be mistaken as designed for the outside world. We actively encourage anyone to try!

Should you feel ready to embrace the idea of a staycation do remember to pack your loungewear. To get you in the mood we visited Locke at Broken Wharf ahead of their reopening on the 17th May. Near to our Lamb’s Conduit Street stores, Broken Wharf sits on the river by the Millenium Bridge and was the perfect place to road test the collection in its entirety. Pyjama sets and dressing gowns in the room, house sweatshirts and terry towelling in the lobby.
In short, the habits we have picked up during lockdown are going nowhere. Clothes that look and feel good, while having you comfortable for almost all scenarios.
