Spotlight: The Linfield Jacket

The Linfield jacket, our classic blouson silhouette, straddles that fine and difficult line between smart and casual. Smarter than a bomber but more versatile than the family of mid-length coats, it’s an ideal choice for autumn looks, while that faux sheepskin collar will see you good throughout winter. We’ve cut this style in a regular wale cotton corduroy cloth so that it has that wonderful tactile and textural finish.

This season, we've cut the Linfield jacket in two colours: a rich deep navy and a more vibrant ginger tone. Both wear exceptionally well with most other colours, especially as contrasts to neutral tones such as cream, white, light grey, beige and tobacco. If you prefer wearing dark colours then we'd suggest you plump for the blue version since it will better blend in with the darker tones in your wardrobe. If you prefer earthy tones such as browns and greens this time of year, then the ginger version is right up your street. It looks amazing when layered with other tonal tones such as brown, beige and tobacco but it will also work well with other strong tones such as forest green, yellow, orange and red.

The 'trucker' shape of the jacket also lends itself to a rugged Americana aesthetic, so you can also wear it as the polished part of a classic workwear look with jeans and boots, layering a fine-gauge knit or flannel shirt underneath. Otherwise, if you want to dress the jacket up with a more refined winter look, try pairing either colour with our Lawley Charcoal Check trousers or our Judo Trousers in Wickham Oatmeal, the latter of which features an undyed ecological wool with very little environmental footprint.
