A Christmas Tale Of Gifts, Guinness, And Gratitude

A Christmas Tale Of Gifts, Guinness, And Gratitude

To celebrate the launch of our new Christmas Gift Guide, we thought it was only right and proper that we produce a film for the occasion. We were scratching our heads for inspiration at Oliver Spencer HQ, when we all of a sudden chanced upon a Christmas tree looking somewhat forlorn - turns out it had been just been evicted by a cruel landlord. Tree eviction doesn't just hurt the tree, but also the ecosystem of sprites, elves, and decorations that call it home.

So, feeling magnanimous, we decided to take the tree on a tour of Lamb's Conduit Street. The tree was elated, and even suggested that we head down to The Perseverance for a few pints of Guinness and some mulled wine chasers, which was a splendid idea given it was 4pm on a slow Monday.

It was getting late, and the tree sprites were beginning to get a bit 'shouty' so we did what any good Samaritan would do and swung by The Fryer's Delight chippy on Theobalds Road for a bag of vinegar-soaked potatoes. We went and sat in Red Lion Square, and lo and behold, a firework display erupted in the sky above, cascading fleeting skeins of every colour of the rainbow.

We could see the festive warmth flood the tree's non-shed pines, and for a moment all was right with the world. Except one thing. Tree was all dressed up with nowhere to go. And then, as if the fireworks had ignited a spark of inspiration, it became clear - tree would make its new home in the Oliver Spencer window!

And that is where it now resides, pride of place in Lambs Conduit Street, imbuing the store with holiday spirit. If you're in the area, come in and say hello! Tree loves the company!
