Spring Transitions: The Ventnor hooded jacket

Dressing for the mercurial British spring requires a deft menswear wardrobe to accommodate for the unique proposition of four seasons in a single day. From hail stones in the morning to warm splashes of sun across your face by early evening, changeable spring days require lightweight layers that can be peeled off and on as and when the elements deem fit. The time for heavy wools has most definitely passed, and in their place come the new boys on the block - technical cloths. Actually, there's nothing new about technical cloths really. They've been around for ages but for most of this time have been relegated to outdoorsy outerwear, the real functional stuff.

This season, we've created what we think is the perfect spring jacket, one that's lightweight enough to take you right through the summer and into the early days of autumn. It's called the Ventnor hooded jacket: it's a hooded blouson that has been cut from a water-repellent Italian technical cloth to keep you dry during those sporadic downpours. With a zip-front and a single patch pocket, the minimal stylish makes it very easy to assimilate into your wardrobe, especially in this season's navy and olive drab tones. Easy to pack away and super lightweight, it's the perfect stylish technical jacket. Wear it with any of our casual trouser styles or pair it with your favourite jeans.
