'Modern Classic' is a term often used to dress up a piece of contemporary menswear that might riff on a heritage garment but doesn't really add anything new. There's nothing wrong with reproducing classic silhouettes, but don't call them modern if they don't refresh the original. In our Hythe jacket, we think we've genuinely created a modern classic of a menswear jacket - something that references chore jackets of old, but that has been given a modern treatment in terms of the fabrics it is made from, as well as the unique pocket configuration.
