Oliver Spencer has teamed up with MONC, the maker of sustainably sourced eyewear to produce a limited edition collaboration of three unique and exclusive styles of wire-frame sunglasses. This collection presents a stunning triumvirate of frames that take their names from by the British South Coast. Consisting of Lymington, Beaulieu and Osborne styles, each frame takes a bold approach to modern style while honouring the importance of everyday wearability. The frame shapes reference the aviator styles of old, when eyewear manufacturing was an artisanal craft executed by skilled hands.
British design, Italian craftsmanship, global conscience
Sustainability and longevity were of key influence when it came to designing the collection, with each aspect of the production very carefully considered. The handcrafting of the metal frames is conducted in a small independent workshop based on the peak of a mountain on the Italy-Austria border. Each pair comes with glass lenses, a recycled leather case, a biodegradable cloth and recycled packaging.
