From Key West to Naples - Summer 22 has landed

We're thrilled to introduce our new Summer 22 collection featuring a sophisticated amalgam of elevated casualwear and Oliver Spencer’s iconic relaxed tailoring. Part-inspired by the southern Italian tradition of unstructured suiting, together with a trip Oli took to Key West and Miami, the campaign was shot in Naples by renowned stylist William Gilchrist and photographer Chris Ingham.

With such a great and storied history of tailoring, Naples was the perfect place to showcase the collection, which borrows from the city’s relaxed, easy-going demeanour. Hence the collection features an array of lightweight unstructured suiting in linen and cotton fabrics, each one with soft shoulders and a natural drape to make tailoring more like an extension of casualwear than a formal category in itself. Designed to be worn as suits or separates, the relaxed silhouette is perfect for summer engagements.

The other key elements to the collection are shirting and jersey, both of which demonstrate Oliver Spencer’s commitment to sustainable fabrics such as linen and organic cotton, while offering a plethora of unique textural cloths in muted tones to be worn on their own or as a way to accentuate the casual aesthetic of the tailoring.

A trip to Key West and Miami inspired Oli to look at how Cuban menswear had made it across the Straits of Florida and had had a profound influence on the way people dressed ever since the 50s. Relaxed jersey in the shape of short-sleeved shirts, guayabera shirts and casual polos combine with loose linen tailoring to create a resort aesthetic, punctuated by soft muted tones.
