About Oliver Spencer Pleated Trousers
Men’s trousers with pleats bring a sharper line to relaxed dressing, and the Morton is the style at the centre of our collection. Cut with a single pleat, a high rise and a roomier hip, these pleated trousers sit naturally on the waist before tapering gently from the knee to the hem. It is a higher waisted, more tailored take on the pleat, without the added volume of double pleat trousers.
Fabric does much of the work. The Westerman cotton and wool blend in navy and charcoal and the Purdon virgin wool blend in charcoal suit the colder months, alongside the Ivers corduroy in navy for added texture. For warmer days, linen pleated trousers take over, from the Coney in navy and brown to the Wilkins in grey and the Tillman cotton and linen in cream, while the Silman blends linen, virgin wool and cotton for a lightly textured finish.
Colour stays understated. Navy, charcoal and grey sit alongside earthy browns, indigo blue and cream, with the Jensen brown and white micro-houndstooth as the quiet pattern option. Worn as pleated suit trousers or as separates, they work with a shirt and knitwear as easily as they do with a simple tee.
