When and how did you first discover your passion for acting?
I was quite a mischievous kid at school and would always get detentions. Until one day, the teacher who was conducting the detention, was also directing a play and the lead actor didn’t turn up. So she handed me the script and said I should take over, consequently beginning the journey down the path of acting.
Did you grow up in a creative family?
I suppose. My sister is a musician, my brother was a graphic designer and then went into football, and I’m the drama queen.
What have you been most proud of in your career so far?
Getting to act alongside one of my favourite actresses, Amy Adams, in The Glass Menagerie which was my West End debut.

Which actors or performances have you been most inspired by?
In 2012, I saw a play called “Pitchfork Disney” by Philip Ridley at the Arcola Theatre. It’s still, to this day, my favourite play. The cast were sublime and super talented. That experience really inspired me to go for the acting thing for sure!
What’s your favourite film or TV show that you’ve seen in the last year?
Oh there’s loads. Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Beef, Slow Horses, The Bear, Oppenheimer… (too many)

Is there a fictitious character that you would love to play?
Anything with a great story, and amazing actors. I’ll do it.
Can you give us a hint as to what’s next for Victor Alli?
I’m in a show that’s set to be released around summer-ish. I can’t say what it is, but I’m really excited for when it comes out.
