Spring 25 - Designer's Notes

Spring 25 - Designer's Notes

For Spring 25, we wanted to create a collection that feels effortless, adaptable, and rooted in a sense of movement.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the way people move in clothes,” says Oli. “Northern Soul is a perfect reference for that. It was a scene built around energy and expression -music, dance, style - all of it coming together in a very organic way. We took that spirit and translated it into pieces that are as easy to wear on the dance floor as they are walking through the city.” We reinterpreted key silhouettes such as knitted tank tops, polo shirts, and wide pleated trousers in a more modern context so that they assimilate with contemporary fashions.

That sense of fluidity runs through the collection, from the soft, sculpted tailoring to the relaxed drape of the new wide-leg trousers. “There’s a real confidence in that silhouette,” Oli explains. “I really love that higher-waisted shape that is fuller in the leg, and creates movement and flow. We’ve paired them with lightweight knits and knitted polos to strike the right balance between nostalgia and modernity.”

Inherently British and consciously crafted using only the finest fabrics, this Spring collection features a wide variety of fabric weights and textures, a characteristic that allows for stylish layering which is vital in transitional months. Waffle cloths, open-weave knits, crisp technical nylons -each fabric has been carefully chosen for its ability to layer effortlessly. “Spring is unpredictable,” Oli laughs. “One minute, it’s glorious sunshine, the next you need a decent bit of outerwear. The idea here is that every piece works modularly, so you can build up or strip back depending on what the weather’s doing.” Suede, seersucker, linen, and open-weave knits provide a textural juxtaposition to uniform staples such as soft herringbone cottons, heavy double-faced jersey cotton, and recycled nylon weatherproof cloths.

All this is underscored by a colour palette that really anchors the collection with neutral blocks - navy, slate grey, chocolate brown, olive green - to give everything a clean, structured feel, while offering accents of more vibrant tones such as indigo, rust, and pink. “I didn’t want anything too fussy this season,” Oli says. “I kept coming back to the fundamentals: colour, weight, fabric, utility, shape. If you get those five things right, you don’t need to overcomplicate it.”

And at its core, that’s what Spring 25 is all about: simplicity, ease, and a wardrobe that works together as a whole. “It’s about making life easier,” says Oli. “These are clothes designed to be lived in - whether you’re out dancing all night or just grabbing a coffee on a Sunday morning.”
