Inspired by the mid-century designers of the Midwest, our winter collection continues where our autumn collection left off, swapping out the lighter knits and silhouettes for altogether more robust fabrics and shapes. The colour palette is still very much inspired by the seasonal changes around us - the rich ochres and purples of autumn give way to a cooler array of navy tones, faded forest greens, and soft neutral understated hues, perfect for easy integration into any modern wardrobe.

Knitwear has been constructed with a mid-weight extrafine yarn, balancing a soft handle with an assuredly comforting thickness and warmth. Block-colour motifs that reference the architecture of mid-century modernism have been used in our perennial shapes, including our Blenheim crew necks and Talbot roll necks, while we've also introduced half-zip jumpers in sand and midnight navy. Cardigans are a key piece this winter, being a great option for layering on cold days, wearing as outerwear on warmer days, or as a preppy casualwear piece with a weekend fit. We've got a host of styles, from the zip-through Foyle knit (a colour-blocked patch-pocket design) - to the Tilson, which takes its cue from a vintage Ivy League aesthetic thanks to the classic fold-down collar.

Outerwear comes well-prepped for harsh weather. When you peer outside to get a measure of the weather, and it causes you to wince, that is the trigger you need to reach for the Newington coat. Our double-breasted winter coat, the Newington is cut from heavy Italian jumbo cotton corduroy for a rich and tactile finish, and fleece-lined for blast-furnace warmth. The Buffalo coat is a much lighter weight option, and references the classic trucker jacket silhouette. We've cut it in winter-ready fully-lined heavy Italian jumbo cotton corduroy, while we've also made two funnel-neck bombers for a sportier aesthetic, and some thick pile gilets to keep the cold out.

Casual tailoring takes the form of three new Solms jacket iterations. The Solms jacket has long been part of the Oliver Spencer DNA, each season reinvented in new fabrications. Unstructured and with a soft lapel construction, it’ll make you rethink the purpose of tailoring, being so easy to wear casually. For winter, we've constructed two styles from a British gaberdine twill melange wool, giving it a rich, warm and tactile finish, perfect for incorporating into your autumn/winter separates options. The third style has been cut from a unique woodland-hue midweight, waxed-cotton camouflage fabric, giving it a weather-beating finish with a distinctly urban aesthetic. If you're looking for a hybrid blazer/jacket with winter functionality, this version of the Solms is it. We've also made matching trousers for each of the Solms jacket so that you can wear them as suits or simply add to your separates rotation.

Shirting features a number of new mid-weight fabrics including beautifully soft cotton poplin, brushed plaid cotton, organic cotton and a brushed cotton twill among others. Alongside our perennial New York Special, Grandad, Eltham and Clerkenwell tab shirts, we've also added a new Dock Popover style, which is a relaxed fit, casual cut with a flat half-moon collar detail. The front patch chest pocket is a nod to the utility of the classic worker shirt.
