Oliver Spencer in Toronto: Where to Drink

This month Oli is making a special trip across the ocean to visit our Toronto store. We wanted to know more about the local area so we asked store manager Jon to give us his tips for Queen West.

Just a short cab ride away from Queen West is Soho House Toronto. With a selection of local cocktails as well as house tonics, all tastes are catered for.  This also includes some thoughtful non-alcoholic options: the Apple Daisy features comforting flavours of baked apple, honey and cinnamon.

Located on Dundas Street West is Hoof Cocktail Bar, which boasts an extensive menu of both traditional and contemporary cocktails. Their seasonal selection is ever-changing, while their Wild Card drinks are worth a try for their adventurous combinations: such as a Gold Fashioned featuring butter-popcorn brandy.

For all Leafs (hockey), Raptors (basketball) and Jays (baseball) games, head to Dog and Bear to catch them on one of eight TVs or their projector. Choose from 20 beers on tap and a wide selection of bar food, including sandwiches, nachos, and even a Sunday roast.

From our earliest days, we’ve adopted a business model that incorporates environmental and social responsibility at every step. Each season, we increase the proportion of ecological, organic and recycled fabrics and will continue to do so until they represent the entirety of our collections. We also ring-fence a proportion of our revenue to put towards planting trees with the Woodland Trust.
