Oliver Spencer x Eye Respect

For the first time at Oliver Spencer we have produced a range of sunglasses.  Teaming up with Eye Respect a London based eyewear specialist. Oli’s designs were sent to the region of Veneto in Northern Italy for production in the family owned factory.  Specialists in producing hand-crafted acetate frames for over half a century.

We’re carrying three styles in the stores; Bob, a chunky rounded shape with straight arms which comes in three colours, Sid, which has a lightly thinner slimmer silhouette in a light tortoiseshell and the final style Frank, which is slightly squarer in shape more a kin to a classic wayfarer in profile, these come in both black and dark tortoiseshell. All three styles include the embossed branding of both companies on the inside of the arm. The lenses are polarised and offer UV protection.

It’s worth noting that the acetate the frames are made from is a ‘live’ material, so will not shatter or crack, this property also allows them the be bent and flexed in order to achieve a perfect fit.

Oli’s sunglasses share the same versatility as our clothing, along with a matched level of detail and craftsmanship.

From our earliest days, we’ve adopted a business model that incorporates environmental and social responsibility at every step. Each season, we increase the proportion of ecological, organic and recycled fabrics and will continue to do so until they represent the entirety of our collections. We also ring-fence a proportion of our revenue to put towards planting trees with the Woodland Trust.
