We've talked about this exhibition at the Courtauld gallery (just in the entrance of Somerset house) in our newsletter but now you only have SIX days until it's finished on the 20th May. It costs £6.00 and is highly recommended.
The exhibition explores the relationship between Ben Nicholson and Piet Mondrian in the 1930's. At this time the two artists were leading forces of abstract art in Europe.
What we love about the modern art from this era is just how fresh and modern it still looks. These artists were creating work 80 years ago that still holds their appeal today. They are timeless. Nicholson's colour pallette are particularly inspiring.
The Courtauld gallery has a fantastic permanent collection too with lots of impressionist works with masterpieces from Manet, Gaugin, Rubens, Cezanne & Van Gogh.
