We have a wide selection of shirts ranging from different styles to different fabrics. Here we are breaking down each style so you understand what we appreciate it and what’s gone in to the design process. All the shirts have slimline plackets, single cuffs, a red stitched bottom button hole and contrasting side gussets.
Bib Front Shirt: this shirt has a bib front detail (which means a rounded layer of fabric on the chest) it has a granddad collar and the button placket stops and chevrons two/thirds of the way down. It has recently been spotted on the back of actor Michael Fassbender.
Eton Collar Shirt: is a rounded collar which is known around town by a few other names, club collar, penny collar, but we like to call ours the Eton collar.
New York Special Shirt: The NY special shirt has a white placket inside which shows when you don't have the top button done up. We have put the chest pocket inside this season.
Mountain Shirt: This new style shirt has a yoke across the front and no pockets on the chest.
Mayfair Shirt: The Mayfair shirt is a new style for us this winter. It has a stitched panel on the front emulating a bib front.ﾠ The button placket stops and chevrons two/thirds of the way down and it has slightly larger buttons than our regular shirts.
Button Down Shirt: This shirt has a button down collarﾠ which has slowly but surely become one of our top selling styles at Oliver Spencer.
Button Pocket Shirt: The button placket shirt was a new style for us last winter.ﾠ The button placket stops and chevrons two/thirds of the way down and there is one pocket on the chest.
Clerkenwell Tab Shirt: The clerkenwell tab shirt has a short collar and as the name suggests it has a tab across the top button. This collar shape is very popular with our customers.
We have adjusted the block on our shirts for winter - it's slightly slimmer than last winter, so you may want to check the size chart before ordering.
