As British menswear takes its place on the calendar, Oliver Spencer presents his collection at the Old Sorting Office as part of the inaugural London Collections: Men spring/summer 2013.
Inspired by the painter Ben Nicholson & Russian Modernism the pieces are enhanced through the use of colour and fabrication, which pops out against the stark grey backdrop of the show set.
Jersey pieces styled with Oliver’s signature outerwear address summer style with intelligent rigor. A new single pleat trouser shape compliments the lightweight suiting elements of the line up.
Oliver’s favourite unlined Portland jacket makes an accomplished appearance on the catwalk along with a Runswick stone gilet. The Fisher Jacket positively shines in the spotlight, with a bold azure blue lining and a coated fabric finish.
Making a debut appearance to the Oliver Spencer range for SS13 is the board short. A welcome addition to his expanding collection.
Graphic Aztec design print walks this season in the form of a short and co-ordinated shirt.
A pop of colour on the catwalk is seen in flashes of burnt orange, electric blue and desert sand.
Footwear, such as the new lace-less grain derby shoes, subtly showcases Oliver’s attention to detail and design craftsmanship.
Much of the Spencer collection is made in the UK. The English-made suiting from the Oliver Spencer Tailored range comes unlined with taped seams, cut in linen & silk mix blends.
